Annual 5-K Run

1 Mile Run Walk

Saturday, Sept. 20th

at Saint Joseph Berea, 305 Estill Street.

Race begins at 8:00 a.m.

All runners must be registered to participate.

Date:

Saturday, September 20th, 2008

Time:

Run start time is 8:00 a.m.

5-K Course:

Start at Saint Joseph Berea, down Chestnut Street, past College Square and down Broadway through Old Town Berea, Jefferson Street, Ellipse Street and Hwy 25 with race ending at Saint Joseph Berea. See attached map for details.

1 Mile Run/Walk:

Start at St. Joseph-Berea walk along Chestnut Street to Ellipse, turn-around and walk back to St. Joseph-Berea race start line.

Participants:

Open to all runners & walkers in good health

Awards / Prizes:

Awards / Prizes for the 5K Run will be presented at Saint Joseph Berea following the race. Prizes include: 1st - 3rd place overall and in each division. Note: 1 Mile Fun Run / Walk is not timed and therefore prizes will Not be awarded.

Pre-Registration:

Pre-registration fee for the 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk is $15.00 (Due by Sept. 16, 2008) T-Shirts commemorating the event will be available to individuals who pre-register for the event, by Tuesday Sept. 16, 2008. You may order additional T-Shirts at a charge of $8.00 per shirt. The registration fee is non-refundable.

Registration:

On-site registration $20.00, with T-Shirts subject to availability. If registering on day of event, please arrive at least 45 minutes prior to start time.

Madison County Wellness Program:

One Madison County or Berea Community Elementary age child may participate free with any paid adult registration. Adult must accompany child during race. One T-Shirt per registration fee. Additional T-Shirts available for $8.00 each. Adult age category should be indicated for division award. Madison County or Berea Community School with the most participants will receive prize.

Class Participation Competition Form (PDF)

The elementary school with the most participation will be awarded a floating trophy and a $500.00 stipend to be used by the schools Physical Education Department.
